What are Google Career Certificates?

In 2018, Google developed the Career Certificate to support skills in high-demand areas.

Available on Coursera, Google reports that more than 70,000 people have completed this program in the United States.

In addition, 75% of graduates say the certificate has had a positive impact on their careers, such as a new job, higher salary or promotion, within six months of graduation.

Google Career Certificates are available in areas such as data analysis, IT support, project management, user experience design (UX), and now e-commerce and digital marketing.

Enrollment in the certificate program does not require a diploma or experience and can be completed within three to six months of part-time study.

Lisa Gevelber, founder of Grow with Google, said in a press release:

“Technology continues to drive economic growth and employment opportunities. It is essential that jobseekers and businesses have access to the skills necessary to develop an online presence and unlock new areas of economic potential.

Google is thrilled to be able to help us with our digital marketing and e-commerce certification and our commitment to empowering every U.S. company to train its employees for free.
