- Don’t set too many keywords: From an SEO perspective, this is called keyword stuffing to get better search rankings. Not only will this technique not work, but major search engines will penalize you for it.
- Do not exceed 69 characters for the title tag content: Google, Bing and Ask display only the first 69 characters as the title of web pages in their SERPs, while Yahoo! shows 72. However, this does not necessarily mean that you should try to use all 69 characters available to you.
- Don’t overuse synonyms: It is true that users can use “digital marketing” in the sense of “digital marketing” and vice versa, so you may be tempted to put them in your headline, which should be avoided. Therefore, include synonyms only if you think users can search for different keywords. Otherwise, stick to the most common keywords.
