Why do so many women want to retrain?

After the Great Depression in the 1930s, a new term came to us from across the Atlantic: Great Resignation. This phenomenon begins in the summer of 2020, after the Covid-19 pandemic, millions of Americans leave their jobs. This massive wave of resignations reflects workers’ near-universal dissatisfaction with their jobs or pay. Women are more dissatisfied than men

In Uncle Sam’s country, nearly 48 million voluntarily quit their jobs. In France, the numbers are much less impressive, we are talking about 500,000 resignations in the first quarter of 2022, while the phenomenon is more recent here. It worries everyone equally, especially some sectors of activity. Overall, this is an increase of 20% that was recorded compared to 2019.

Dissatisfaction at work is high, the French demand more flexible working hours, a better quality of the working environment, initiatives in favor of well-being, a real sense of their work and, of course, better pay. And the issue of telecommuting only adds fuel to the fire. According to a recent study, partly carried out by Ifop, women are more affected by this trend. In fact, nearly 57% of them would consider quitting their job to reinvent themselves in the profession.

Professional retraining: how to do it?

In such a context, a professional change often involves finding online training. There are many who want to change not only their job, but also their profession and field of activity. Suffering at work is often one of the main drivers of this process: boredom and frustration, insufficient career development, professional burnout, excessive workload, even a toxic environment, the list of negative points is unfortunately long.
