The Desjardins Foundation invites students from all over Quebec to apply for a scholarship now.
Scholarships offered at all levels regardless of field of study range from $1,000 to $5,000.
Impacts of the pandemic
The category, added last year, has been revived this year to help young people who are transitioning or returning to school due to the pandemic. The call for applications will close on 31 March 2022.
“The consequences of the pandemic continue to affect young people, who still feel demotivated and worried about career choices. It is important to continue our commitment to them to enable them to reach their full potential. By studying, these young people give themselves the opportunity to achieve their ambitions and make a positive contribution to their community. With our scholarship programs, we want to show them that we are here for them, that we believe in them and in their ability to realize their future projects,” explains Nancy Lee, director of the Desjardins Foundation.
Several scholarship programs offered
By submitting an application, the student automatically has access to several scholarship programs offered by Desjardins, including those of the Desjardins Foundation and several caisses. This year, the Desjardins Foundation program alone will award $2.5 million to students who demonstrate perseverance or are involved in their community.
